I’m catching a lot of flack from my iPhone enabled coworkers for not jailbreaking my phone. I’ve had my 3G for almost a year now, and I’ve been tempted many times. There are a lot of reasons I’d like to do it… but I dont want to have to. I have a great phone… what more do I need.
I remember spending hours and hours trying to hack my windows mobile phones. In retrospect, just trying to obtain the level of usefulness I have now. I dont have that kind of time to spend on my phone right now.
I must admit there are a few features I’ve seen that I do actually want. Many Apple isn’t keen on, and a few omissions that are glaring gaps in their product lineup. I dont necessarily agree with apple’s walled garden approach… but it seems to be working for them.
I’ll hold out for now and see what iPhone OS 4 will bring.
